Building a brand from the ground up

In 2011, Orlando Repertory Theatre referred to themselves as a "best kept secret" and a "hidden gem" in the Central Florida arts scene. Despite being a bona fide professional theatre for nearly ten years, they still lacked credibility among peers, and would-be patrons imaged their programming as "kiddie shows" with cardboard sets, presented by and for small children. 

Orlando REP needed a rebrand.


We started by building an aggressive marketing strategy and creating an iconic brand that shaped everything from marketing collateral to interior design. Launching vibrant social media channels and leading the direction of a new website were just some of the tasks along the road to newfound brand recognition.


Within two years, Orlando REP saw increased brand awareness through comprehensive marketing programs, as well as measurable increases in social engagement, class enrollment, and ticket sales year over year. The renovated facilities - whose design was driven by the iconic brand - led patrons to proclaim with pleasant surprise that this was, indeed, a professional theatre with programming to be enjoyed by the entire family. The product had not changed, but the brand identity highlighted Orlando REP's value and evaluated them on the brand ladder.
