Between 2011 and 2019, Central Florida Community Arts' Broadway Concert Series was widely considered to be the crown jewel of its season. Comprised of their own live orchestra, top-tier actors from across Central Florida, and a diverse choir of more than 100 of its most passionate members, these productions were concert-style renditions of popular musicals. Staged simply with few to no sets (instead relying on projections, lighting, and costumes), these productions pointed the spotlight on the strength of the collective cast for a 2-night only run as a fundraiser for arts scholarships benefitting underserved youth in Central Florida. Campaign budgets were therefore small, and relied on strong visuals and grassroots marketing tactics.
